Wreath Alternative for Making your Front Door More Festive

This next project is one to help spruce up your front door. Not a huge wreath fan? This project gives you an alternative. All you need for this project is a picture frame, ribbon, ornaments, and your family's last name initial (optional). To make this project your own, you can choose paint color for your frame, ornament types, and ribbon color. First you need to paint your frame. Once it has dried, or while it is drying, you can start hanging your ornaments and initial from your chosen ribbon. Once your frame is dried and your ornaments hung, go ahead and put them together! Of the examples I've seen of this project, I really like the ribbon bow over the nail used to attach your hanging ornaments. It hides the nail and just adds a little something to your décor. I'm not a huge wreath fan so I really like this simple project! Below is and example:

Brighten Up Your House With a Little Door Decor

This next decoration idea is a fun one to do especially if you have young kids, they'll love it! Decorating your front door, or any door for that matter, is a fun and simple way to add a little holiday spirit to your home. All you'll need for this project is black and orange paper and some wrapping paper. That's right! Just a few pieces of paper! All you need to do for this project is cut circles from the black paper to make eyes and enough circles for a snowman smile, then cut a triangle out of the orange paper for his nose. All that's left is to cut the wrapping paper into a scarf. Once you have all the pieces cut, just tape them to your door! It's as easy as that. Below is what your snowman could look like. Isn't he just too cute?

Ornament Shadow Box will Brighten Up Any Wall

The next project I have is quite simple as well. For this one, All you'll need is an empty shadow box, ornaments (any kind you'd like that will fit in the box), your choice of scrapbook paper, and sticker letters. Easy Peasy! You get to design this one so that it is unique to your own style. You can choose whatever holiday saying you like best and choose ornaments that are most fitting to you. This is one of my favorite holiday crafts because it's so easy to put together and is so easy to make your own.
The steps are simple and easy to follow:
         1. Apply your letters to the front of the shadow box (I recommend cleaning the surface
to be sure the stickers stay on properly)
         2. Trim your scrapbook paper if needed to fit the backside of the shadowbox and glue down, or tape down, so it will stay in place.
         3. Finally, fill the box with your selected ornaments!
All you have left to do is choose where to display your latest craft! Below are just a couple examples of how to design your own holiday shadowbox:

DIY Project for Adding a Little 'Hope' to Your Season

If you're wanting to spruce up your home for the holidays, here is an easy DIY to do just that! Here's what you'll need: Cut-out cardboard letters (you can make your own or find them at Hobby Lobby!), yarn (whichever colors you'd like), and scissors. That's it! The process is rather easy as well. All you need to do is decide which colors you want for each letter and start wrapping! Though the wrapping can be a little tedious and take some time, I promise this project is worth it! Once the letters are wrapped, the only thing left is to decide where to put your project so everyone can see! Below is an example of what yours can look like. This is one of my favorite DIY projects for the holidays because you can really make it your own through what colors you use and even by choosing whichever holiday related word fits you and your home!
